Birkman Advanced Certification   Birkman Advanced Certification is the second step on the learning path to becoming a Birkman Master Certified Professional. This course begins where the Birkman Signature Certification leaves off, taking the understanding of Birkman to a whole new level and providing the tools and frameworks to expand your use of Birkman in your coaching, consulting, team building, and leadership development engagements.  We're often asked, "How do I use Birkman with my team?" "How would I integrate Birkman into a coaching program?" and "How can it be used to build more effective leaders?" Through these course modules, internal consultants will be able to build on and expand their knowledge about Birkman and practically apply it to the needs of their leaders and their organizations, while external consultants will be able to expand their client services by applying practical Birkman knowledge and tools and enhancing their knowledge of Birkman in real-life applications. Registration Deadline: September 12, 2022 Prerequisite: Birkman Signature Certification OR equivalent (Level I, Legacy Certification, or The Birkman Method Certification) Two years as a Birkman Certified Professional Completion of 20 or more conversations on the Birkman Signature Report   Advanced Interpretation (seven two-hour courses) Learning Objective:  Provide a deep dive into the Birkman Components, the power of Component Combinations, and their impact in real-life situations.   Topic: Exploring Patterns in Perceptions and Personality (one two-hour module) Session 1: September 19, 2022, 10 am - 12 pm Central Time (2 hours) One of the key Birkman Method concepts to master is understanding crucial patterns that show up in the instrument and knowing how to shape your conversation with a respondent-based on what fits and doesn't fit those patterns. Patterns in Perception and Personality takes you on an in-depth journey that covers the application of scoring patterns from the macro (social desirability patterns that show in the instrument) to the micro (scoring patterns on individual components) and how you can use these to better understand how your clients see the world or might react in a situation.       Topic: Interpreting Components (three two-hour modules) Session 2: September 19, 2022, 1-3 pm, Central Time (2 hours) Session 3: September 20, 2022, 10 am - 12 pm, Central Time (2 hours) Session 4: September 20, 2022, 1-3 pm, Central Time (2 hours) The depth of your Birkman Component knowledge and interpretation insight will either inform or transform your conversations. Interpreting Components takes you on a deep exploration of the nine behavioral Components—from their historical names to language purity, common scoring patterns, and everything in-between.     Topic: Birkman Molecule & Five-Factor Model (one two-hour module) Session 5:  September 21, 2022, 10 - 12 pm, Central Time, (2 hours) Personality psychologists believe there are five basic dimensions of personality, often referred to as the "Big 5" personality traits.  But how does this Five-Factor Model (FFM) relate to The Birkman Method (TBM)?  Join this class to dig deeper into the FFM, participate in advanced discussions and activities through selected Birkman data, and learn about the Birkman Molecule, which ties the behavioral component together.   Topic: Impact of Component Combinations (two-hour modules) Session 6: September 21, 1-3 pm, Central Time (2 hours) Session 7: September 22, 10 am - 12 pm, Central Time (2 hours) Alone, each of the Birkman Components provides a glimpse into an individual's perceptions.  Combined, they tell a rich story of the behavioral impact an individual will create in the social world around them.  Impact of Component Combinations is a two-part course that walks participants through the impact of scoring patterns when interpreted through powerful behavioral pairings.   Attendance Expectation: The knowledge and skills you will gain in this course depend on your active participation. Are you leveraging Birkman as much as you can? Participants in Individual Coaching with Birkman will sharpen their skills and learn tips and tricks for using Birkman for coaching, team building, and leadership development. Key concepts include exploring the Birkman Conversation Model framework, understanding and using the Appreciative Inquiry Model, preparing for and framing a coaching conversation, practicing inquiry, discussing changeability, common coaching challenges, and overcoming coach bias.
